Dr. Romola Rassool is the Director of the Postgraduate Institute of English of the Open University of Sri Lanka. She is the recipient of an Australian Leadership Award and the Fulbright Junior Scholar Award.
At present, Romola’s research interests are in the fields of preservation of the lesser-known languages of Sri Lanka and Academic Literacy. In addition, she is also interested in issues related to language policy and minority politics in Sri Lanka.
