Overview
The ‘Micro Credential on Young Leaders for Tomorrow’ aims to provide young individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required for effective leadership in their personal, academic, and community environments. This course will cover a blend of leadership theories, practical tools for personal development, and an understanding of how to use technology, emotional intelligence, communication, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship in leadership roles.
Course Content
This course offers an intensive eight-week journey designed to empower aspiring leaders with essential skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Beginning with an Introduction to Leadership and Goal Setting, participants will engage in team-building exercises and self-reflection to identify personal strengths and leadership potential. The course explores foundational Leadership Theories, including Transformational, Servant, and Collaborative Leadership, fostering a deeper understanding of the qualities that define effective leaders.
In Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving, participants will develop logical decision-making skills and examine inspiring leadership case studies to contextualize their learning. The program delves into Digital Literacy, equipping students with essential tools for collaboration and project management in the digital era. As the journey progresses, the focus shifts to Emotional Intelligence and Social Awareness, emphasizing empathy and inclusivity as cornerstones of impactful leadership.
To refine interpersonal skills, participants will master Communication and Public Speaking, learning techniques to deliver compelling speeches and foster positive team dynamics. A module on Digital Marketing and Social Media highlights the power of online platforms for leadership, guiding participants in creating strategic social media campaigns for community initiatives. The curriculum also introduces Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship, enabling students to manage finances effectively and develop entrepreneurial skills for business or community project planning.
The program culminates in a Community Leadership Project, where participants apply their learning to real-world challenges, presenting their innovative solutions. The course concludes with reflection sessions to assess personal growth and celebrate achievements, ensuring participants leave equipped to lead with confidence and purpose in diverse settings.
- Course Commencement:
25th January 2025 (Every Saturday) 9:00 Am to 12 Noon. Course Duration – The course will be delivered over 8 weeks, with a weekly commitment of 3 hours, including lectures, hands-on exercises, and group activities.
