Micro-Credential in Women in Leadership
The Micro-Credential in Women in Leadership is a three-month program designed to equip participants with the knowledge, strategies, and practical skills necessary to navigate leadership roles effectively. This program provides an interdisciplinary foundation in leadership theories, gender equity, and professional development while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Participants will engage with industry experts and apply leadership principles to real-world challenges, enabling them to drive meaningful change within their organizations and communities.
Program Objectives
This program is designed to:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of leadership models and their applicability in diverse professional settings.
- Examine systemic barriers to leadership advancement and explore strategies for overcoming them.
- Foster gender-equitable leadership practices through case studies and evidence-based approaches.
- Enhance skills in public speaking, negotiation, and strategic communication to improve leadership efficacy.
- Provide participants with practical insights from experienced professionals across multiple sectors.
Program Format and Delivery
The program is delivered in a hybrid format, combining in-person sessions at the BMICH with online learning components. Sessions are held on Saturdays, allowing for flexible engagement for working professionals and students. Participants will engage in lectures, interactive workshops, and collaborative group activities to reinforce key concepts.
Admission and Fees
The program commences on February 22, 2025, with a total duration of three months. The course fee is LKR 35,000, with an early bird discount available at LKR 30,000.
