Education Policy Analysis
Overview
Participants are expected to learn the basics in Leadership & Public Policy in Sinhala medium.
Course Topics shall include basics in; Strategic Leadership, Public Administration, Public Communication, Microeconomics, Cyber Security, Clean Energy, Crisis Management & Public Private Partnerships. One Guest Speech & 01 exposure visit shall be organized during the course. Physical classes will be held at the BALPP.
Course Content
Week 1: What is Strategic Leadership.
Basic introductions with real world examples would be discussed as a lecture and a discussion
Week 2: Levels of Public Administration.
National, Provincial and Local levels of government would be introduced with examples and case studies
Week 3: Cyber Security Fundamentals. Basics related to the topic would be covered with latest examples
Week 4: Guest Speech on Crisis Management
Week 5: Field visit
Week 6: Introduction to Microeconomics.
Week 7: Basics in Clean Energy.
Week 8: Value of mass communication.
Course Commencement:
23rd January till 13th March 2025.
Course Duration
The course will be delivered over 8 weeks on hybrid mode (01 Credit/ 15 contact hours) on Thursdays with a weekly commitment of 2 hours (5.15pm till 7.15pm) including lectures, hands-on exercises, and group activities.
Course Fee
- The course fee is 20,000 LKR.
