We were thrilled to host the Sixth BALPP Eminence Lecture featuring the esteemed scientist and public policy advocate, Dr. Rohan Pethiyagoda. The event, held from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, drew a full house, underscoring the importance of the topic at hand.

Dr. Pethiyagoda’s insightful discourse focused on the pitfalls of emergency rhetoric surrounding climate change, emphasizing the need for evidence-based policy making in Sri Lanka. His remarks sparked a lively and engaging Q&A session, expertly moderated by Economist Senith Abeynayake.
