Payment Terms
- Fees and Charges: All fees and charges associated with courses and services offered by BALPP are clearly outlined on the website. You agree to pay all fees and charges incurred in connection with your use of the website and courses, including any applicable taxes.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made using various methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, and other specified methods. All payment details are securely processed using industry-standard encryption.
- Late Payments: Failure to make timely payments may result in additional charges or penalties as described in the payment terms for the specific course or service.
- Non-Payment: In case of non-payment, BALPP reserves the right to withhold course materials, deny access to classes, and take legal action if necessary.
Refund Policy
BALPP has a comprehensive refund policy for fee-paying students, applicable under special circumstances as outlined below:
Category A: Failure by BALPP to Offer the Course as Advertised
A1: Discontinuation of the program by BALPP.
A2: Decision by BALPP not to commence the scheduled batch.
A3: Postponement of the batch commencement, and the student does not agree to wait.
A4: Significant change in the schedule of the batch, preventing the student from attending.
Category B: Student Reverses the Decision to Pursue the Course
Refund requests must be made in writing prior to the scheduled commencement of the course or if the student hasn’t attended any class.
B1: Conflict between the student’s work schedule and class schedule.
Category C: Medical Reasons
C1: Inability to continue the course due to serious personal medical reasons or medical reasons of a serious nature concerning the supporting guardian/parent.
C2: Death of the student or the guardian/parent.
Important Notes on Refunds
- Refund requests under Category A must be made prior to commencement or within 14 days of commencement.
- Refunds under Category A will be processed in full provided the student has not attended any classes.
- Refund requests under Category B received after commencement will be at the discretion of the Academic & Governing Board and may result in a partial refund, subject to a processing fee.
- Category B refunds incur a processing fee of 10% of the amount paid, up to a maximum of Rs. 10,000.
- Refund requests under Category C require supporting medical evidence.
- Refund amounts under Category C will be determined by the Academic & Governing Board.
- Refund requests citing migration as the reason will not be considered.
- Fees paid to external awarding bodies and local authorities are non-refundable.
Refund Procedure
- Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing by the student or guardian.
- Refunds will be processed in accordance with BALPP’s refund policy.
- Any exceptions will be referred to the Chief Operating Officer and final decisions made by the Executive Director.
Payment of Refunds
- Refunds will be made within four to six weeks of receiving a completed refund application.
- Payments will be made in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) by cheque to the registered student or guardian. Payments will not be made to third parties.
Privacy Policy
Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the site and informs users of our data collection practices.
Limitation of Liability
BALPP will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this site, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
Academic Policies
- Course Enrollment: Enrollment in courses is subject to availability and BALPP’s discretion. BALPP reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses as necessary.
- Attendance and Participation: Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and participate actively. Failure to do so may result in academic penalties or dismissal from the course.
- Academic Integrity: Students must adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, cheating, and other forms of academic dishonesty are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.
Changes to Terms
BALPP reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice. By using the website, you are agreeing to be bound by the current version of these terms and conditions.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. You agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
